If you have always wanted to learn how to paint a landscape, this workshop is for you.

If you would like to learn how to create a monotype landscape using an etching press, this workshop is for you.

If you love the view of the Murrumbidgee River from Shepherd’s Lookout, this workshop is for you.

If you want to learn new sketching, painting and printmaking skills, this workshop is for you.

We will-

-enjoy a nice short walk to Shepherd’s Lookout from the Shepherd’s Lookout carpark on Stockdill Drive, where Sally will guide us to capture the landscape on paper using ink, pen and also watercolour paints.

-learn techniques to simplify the landscape into shapes and lines which will be used later in our workshop.

-use a light box and other methods to reverse your images to then use in the printmaking process.

-learn about monotype printmaking using water-based media.

-create our own unique monotype artworks using Sally’s etching press.

-experiment with a variety of art materials to create landscapes.

-most importantly, have fun.

All art materials provided.

Lunch- We will order our own lunch from Stepping Stone cafe or BYO lunch and snacks.

Pease wear comfortable shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen and bring water in a backpack for our walk to Shepherd’s Lookout on Saturday.
